SCULPTURE GARDEN
Park with about sixty sculptures, including the famous fountain sculpture Spoonbridge and Cherry, created by Claes Oldenburg
The park, which adjoins the Walker Art Center, features some 60 sculptures, including the famous fountain sculpture Spoonbridge and Cherry created by Claes Oldenburg and his wife Coosje van Bruggen. Constructed from aluminum and stainless steel, this sculpture takes up a theme dear to the Swedish artist, who often uses everyday objects in his art. Renovated and reopened in June 2017, the garden features 18 new works, including Hahn/Cock, a gigantic blue rooster by Katharina Fritsch, and a version of Robert Indiana's iconic Love.
