AMERICAN SWEDISH INSTITUTE
This Swedish institute allows to discover the Swedish emigrant community through a collection of decorative arts, fabrics..
This Swedish institute, founded in 1929, is both a cultural centre and a museum, which aims to bear witness to the Swedish emigrant community that we discover through a collection of decorative arts, fabrics, documents... This manor house is composed of 33 finely carved pieces in oak and mahogany. The centerpiece remains the entrance hall on 2 floors. Note that the exhibitions focus on Swedish art today, more than on the history of immigrants in the 19th century.
