JULIA BELLE SWAIN
Superb steamboat, with its 3 wooden decks and railings, which sails on the Mississippi, used as a set for movies.
It was one of the last five steamships still plying the Mississippi until 2012. The boat is superb, with its three wooden decks, white-painted railings, two black flared chimneys and famous gangway. It was used in 1973 on the film Tom Sawyer, and in 1974 for the filming ofHuckleberry Finn. Sadly, she left to dock for a while. After sinking $2.6 million in repairs, she's not yet ready to be refloated. The Julia Belle Swain is now up for sale
