ENGER PARK AND TOWER
Park with the Enger Tower, stone tower on the heights of Duluth, named after Bert Enger offering part of his estate
This park is home to the Enger Tower, a 160-metre high stone tower built on the heights of Duluth. Built in the 1930s, it was named in honour of Bert Enger, a wealthy businessman and philanthropist who, upon his death, bequeathed part of his estate to the city. On the sixth floor of the tower, there is a panoramic view of the city and Lake Superior. The park also includes a garden, golf course and hiking trails, including the Superior Hiking Trail along Lake Superior to the Canadian border.
