INSTITUT FRANÇAIS DE RECHERCHE EN IRAN (IFRI)
Born in 1983 of the fusion of the French Archaeological Delegation in Iran (1897) and the French Iranologie Institute in Tehran (1947), this Institute reports to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is part of the TRIAC regional cluster (Turkey, Russia, Iran and Central Asia) consisting of IFEA in Istanbul, IFRI, Tehran, IFEAC in Tashkent and the MFRC in Moscow. Its mission is to promote research in the fields of social and social sciences and archaeology. Its research area covers the entire Iranian world, from Prehistory to the present. It welcomes researchers of all nationalities and strives to establish collaborations with Iranian universities and research centres. For this purpose, it organizes international seminars, seminars and conferences, and participates in various scientific events. IFRI has a dynamic library and a publishing cell.
