HOUSE OF THE ABBEYS (KHANEH-YE ABBASIHA)
Go there and contact
Among the twenty historic houses that can be found in Kashan, the Abbassi is certainly one of the most interesting. This huge residence was built and built at the end of the eighteenth century and features beautiful Persian architectural features of the time and the specific features of Kashan. Built around two large indoor gardens with basins, it counts no less than six inner courtyards around which buildings could shelter several families. You will notice the stucco of the ceilings, extraordinarily opened, or the ceiling of the iwan, fully covered with mirrors of mirrors that evoke the stars of the milky way at night. Mosaics, stained glass, decorative motifs: everything was opened with extreme finesse, illustrating the talent of the Persian architects of the time. Do not miss to see the two levels arranged underground, to stay at the expense all summer and to be able to shelter through secret passages in the event of a nomadic attack.
