BOGH-E YE SHAH-E CHERAGH MAUSOLEUM
Go there and contact
Dating back to the mid th century, it is one of the city's most famous pilgrimage sites. With the relics of Imam Reza's brother, Seyyed Mir Ahmad, who died in Shiraz in 835, the mausoleum is easily recognisable to its magnificent turquoise dome. The facade, its dome and its soaring minarets, illuminated at night, come out of the dark and are reflected in the large water pool of the inner courtyard. Keep up with the entrance vestibule - colourful mosaics - on worked silver doors and golden arabesques. See also the blue tiled facade.
Inside, the large rooms are covered with thousands of éclats of mirror with a dome decorated with abeilles patterns. The sarcophagus is wraparound with silver grids in large links, where votive and coloured wires are suspended. Like the rest of the country, the faithful fuck the grid and throw bank notes inside for good works.
