GOVERNOR'S HOUSE AND ETHNOLOGICAL MUSEUM
The former residence of the governor, built around an inner courtyard and a shady basin, dates back to the th century. According to the time canons in force, part of the residence was reserved for guests (piqueras) and the other for the family (andaroni). See also twisted columns of sassanide inspiration. The side rooms are home to the ethnological section with a series of wax dummies, tracing the daily and costume of the Kurds. Note the importance of weaving activity and the quality of jewellery. Beautiful silver collars designed from coins, and not less elegant parts in alabaster, marble or silica. Also take a look at the ends of the pencils always evocative (xviiie). Differences in clothing indicate belonging to different clans. Today, Iranian Kurds, estimated at 5 million, are mainly clustered in the provinces of Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam and Khorassan.
