The Chapelle chapel, in the extreme north-west of the country, close to the borders with Turkey and Armenia, is the only remaining one of a large monastery, disappeared in the early th century. Its remains have been displaced and reconstructed due to the construction of a dam. The dismantling of the chapel ruins and its reconstruction were carried out in 1987 and 1988 by the Government in agreement with the Armenian Church.
