CENTRE-VILLE
Visit the town center to discover a convent-church, a garden, a small Gothic chapel and a memorial.
There are a number of things to see in the heart of the city: the city wall, almost completely preserved; the Klosterkirche Sankt Trinitatis, a 13th century convent church rebuilt by K. F. Schinkel; the Tempelgarten, a 19th century garden with some neoclassical and orientalist buildings; or the small Gothic Siechenhauskapelle. It was in the Löwenapotheke that T. Fontane was born. Don't miss the Marienkirche with the Schinkel memorial or the Schulpatz with the elegant Altes Gymnasium.
