IKMZ
Glass-fronted building with white lettering housing the BTU library in Cottbus.
Lovers of contemporary architecture will not fail to take a look at this surprisingly curved building, which was designed by the star architects of Basel: Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron. It houses the library (IKMZ for Informations, Kommunikations und Medienzentrum) of the BTU(Brandenburgische Technische Univerität). Inside, there are no corners or angles: only curves. Its glass facade is covered with white lettering. Inaugurated in 2005, the IKMZ quickly became one of the symbols of the city.
