RATHAUS - TOWN HALL
Magnificent dark-red brick town hall with pitched roof and stepped gable in the heart of Berlin.
The magnificent town hall on Jüterbog's market square - in late Gothic style - dates mainly from the 15th and 16th centuries. It is one of the most beautiful medieval town halls in Brandenburg and North Germany. Its beautiful ornaments, dark red brick, pitched roof and stepped gable give it a real presence. The previous building was burnt down in 1478 and has been replaced by the present building, which was inaugurated in 1507. It stands in the heart of the town on a pretty paved and wooded square.
