This 7-metre-high red brick wall was built in 1248 to protect the town from invasion.
Shortly after the foundation of Neubrandenburg in 1248, the need to build a city wall to protect the town from invasion arose. This 7 m high red brick wall was faithfully restored, so that even today, beautiful walks can still be undertaken at its feet. The highlight of the discovery: the three city gates (Zinnaer Tor, Neumarkttor, Dammtor). The centre conceals other vestiges of the Middle Ages: towers, houses, etc.
