Budget accommodation, especially interesting if you're driving: in the modern city, a 20-minute walk south of the old town, the rooms are spread out in small Swedish-style wooden buildings - all reminiscent of the Sweden that once ruled Wismar. The accommodation is fairly basic and lacks any particular charm (surrounded by concrete buildings from the 1980s!), but it's decent, quiet and there are often places left when the other cheap options are full. Lovely garden.
