SCHLOSSRUINE PANSEVITZ
Ruins of a Baroque-style castle with a tower still standing despite bombardments during the Second World War.
Schlossruine Pansevitz, as the name suggests, is a castle ruin dating back to the 14th century. The castle was built by the von Putbus family and was originally a medieval fortress. Over the centuries, it was enlarged and transformed into a beautiful Baroque-style castle. Unfortunately, Pansevitz Castle collapsed under bombardment during the Second World War and was subsequently completely abandoned. Today, the ruins and the only surviving tower bear witness to the castle's former grandeur.
