A huge area of greenery in the heart of the city, on the edge of Zierker See and not far from the animal park. It's in this tale decor that you take the whole measure of Neustrelitz. The castle of the Dukes (Residenzschloss), réduit by the bombardment of 1945 but rebuilt after war, almost faithfully. Around this monument stands neo-classical statues, jaillissantes fountains and amazing trees. The park also houses the classic style Orangerie and a souvenir gallery dedicated to Queen Louise de Prussia. A bequest from Friedrich Wilhelm III, this native of Mecklenburg-Consort gave birth to the late th century to Wilhelm I, the future emperor of Germany.
