RUSSISCH-ORTHODOX KIRCHE - RUSSIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH
To the south of the Altstadt, the dépaysants bulbs of the Orthodox church in Dresden were built between 1872 and 1874 for the imperial Russian legation. Consecrated in Simeon Le, an Orthodox saint of the th century, it was drawn up and executed by the German architects Harlad Julius von Bosse and Karl Weissbach. Its iconostasis, stained stained glass windows and traditional ritual objects are unusual in Dresden. A visit at Sunday morning's mass can take a look at the Oriental Christian rite. The parish has a thousand worshippers and is subject to the Moscow Patriarchate.
