This church was built in 1879 in the centre of Martin-Luther Square and surrounded by houses of the Époque era (1870-1914). This church is built in a local sandstone stone, giving it the characteristic colour of many monuments in Dresden. Its architects, Ernst Giese und Paul Weidner, conformèrent at the time for the historicism and combinèrent of neo-Gothic and Neo-Romanesque elements. The church has an organ dating back to 1887. Today, it is a very active evangelical parish.
