TASCHENBERGPALAIS
Facing the Zwinger, a baroque palace with joyful and feminine colours, the Taschenbergpalais. This palace in the heart of the city was the residence of the beautiful Anne-Constance of Brockdorff, countess of Has, favorite of Auguste the Fort, which housed her in these moving more than comfortable. Built between 1701 and 1711 by the great architect of the Baroque, Pöppelmann is today a hotel worthy of the luxury tastes of the former head of the site. The bombing of 1945 left only two façades, but reconstruction was completed in 1994 and is an additional architectural success in Dresden.
