SÄCHSISCHE STÄNDEHAUS
By climbing the stairs of the large staircase that leads to the Brühlsche Terrace, you will see on your right this large Renaissance building crowned by a golden statue representing Saxony. It was built between 1901 and 1906 by the architect Paul Wallot, who was also known for drawing up the Berlin Reichstag. Built on the location of the Palace Brühl, the palace of the Prime Minister of Auguste le Fort, the Ständehaus once housed the first parliament of Saxony. Today, it is the seat of the Court of Appeal of Dresden and the historic monuments of Saxony.
