LINGNERSCHLOSS - LINGNER CASTLE
Lingnerschloss is a castle in Dresden. Built between 1850 and 1853 for the noble Prussian von Stockhausen family, it now bears the name of Karl August Lingner, an honorary citizen of Dresden, although he only lived there from 1908 to 1916. In his will, Lingner bequeathed the entire property to the city of Dresden, with strict conditions: the beauty of this unique location in Europe was to be appreciated by the entire population, the establishment was not to be reserved for the wealthy and was to be used for the good of Dresden and its surroundings. This vision has been progressively implemented since the founding of the Lingnerschloss e.V. association. The castle has been renovated and is now open to the public. It is also available for events, weddings and receptions.
