ROSENGARTEN - ROSE GARDEN
Auguste le Fort had the desire to create a long walk on the north shore of the Elbe, dotted with exceptional gardens, as well as on the sumptuous bank of Altstadt. This project is not alive, but the idea was taken up in 1935 by Heinrich @, director of the gardens of the city of Dresden, when he drew this rose rose on the river. The garden was redesigned in 1976. We can admire nearly 150 kinds of roses and modern sculptures, including the superb Genesung (Healing, 1927) of the sculptor Felix Pfeifer who represents a woman, the face and hands stretched to the sky, in an expression of gratitude and well-being. The garden also has a café where you can refresh yourself on the terrace.
