Beautiful square with Baroque houses and an old Renaissance building that now houses the Silesian Museum.
The Untermarkt is a beautiful square lined with Baroque and Renaissance houses, famous for its arcades and colorful facades that give it a very cheerful look. Not far away, at number 8 Brüderstrasse, is Görlitz's oldest Renaissance building, the Schönhof, with its imposing red and grey façade and arcades. Built in 1526, it now houses the Silesian Museum.

Görlitz, à cheval sur la frontière polonaise que l'on franchit sans formalité aujourd'hui, vaut le détour. En particulier, pour son Unter Markt qui marie le gothique, le renaissance et bien sur le baroque. A ne pas manquer, le Schönhof, pour le bâtiment lui-même mais aussi pour le musée de la Silésie qu'il abrite. A ne pas manquer non plus, l'église de la Trinité, Dreifältigkeitskirche.
