Located on the Jahnallee, on the southern edge of the Waldstassenviertel, the "Sportforum" Arena Leipzig is a modern and covered multi-cultural hall opened in 2002. Used for handball, very popular in Germany, basketball, athletics, it is also a concert room that hosts major events and concerts of the city. A suitable place for "stadium rock": Eric Clapton, Deep Purple, ZZ Top, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Rammstein or Metallica are among those who played there.
