DIE VERSORGER
To come to the Spinnerei café, there is no need to be connected to contemporary art. Just want to put your feet under the table. Die Versorger («those who provide», «those who provide the service») welcomes you in the first building on the left, at the entrance to the old cotton spinning. No sign proper, no apparent bubbling… And yet, once the door has been pushed, this historic story and its very entertaining audience are immediately unsettling and full of life. By way of welcome, this sign: Keep Calm on Have a Seat! In the main hall dressed in a former parquet floor, the ballet of waitresses between the bar and tables is as discreet as ever at lunch time. A lot of simple and cheap dishes are to be tasted, but also varieties of homemade coffees and pastries. At the same time, under the trees, Die Versorger deploys its beautiful Biergarten in beautiful days. More reason to prolong discussions between friends around a local beer chope.
