BILL KAULITZ (1989)

Bill Kaulitz wreaked havoc on hysterical young teenage girls a few years ago, when his hair was bristly on his head in a manga style. Now in his thirties, the composer and performer from Leipzig has opted for a more versatile style without radically drawing a line on the adventure of Tokio Hotels, the teenager pop-rock group he co-founded with Tom, his twin brother, in the early 2000s. Tokio Hotels' success has been worldwide, with more than 10 million records sold, particularly in France. The Schrei, Zimmer 483 and Humanoid albums gave the 100% ex-GDR and Saxon quartet (from Leipzig, Halle an der Saale and Magbebourg) a frenzy similar to that of the Boy's or Girl's bands of the 1990s. Bill Kaulitz has since distanced himself from this past of being a singer with young girls. He, who is the youngest artist to have had a statue of himself at the Madame Tussauds Museum in Berlin, moved to Hollywood in early 2011, where he continues to compose, but also where he tries his hand at film.
