NATURKUNDEMUSEUM - NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
The Natural History Museum in Leipzig is probably not a first-rate visit for foreign tourists who want to discover the city. But for amateurs, it is the second largest museum in this category in Saxony, after the one in Dresden. Zoology, botany, geology, archaeology; it presents life and its relationship with its natural environment, with the climate, flora, among others. In this large building, the permanent exhibition takes you on a journey through the traces of the endemic fauna and flora in northwestern Saxony. Preserved, stuffed, you will come face to face with bison and foxes, but also with animals from other continents such as tapir, lama or kangaroo. Temporary exhibitions are always devoted to nature, the environment and natural environmental issues, often studied from an animal's perspective.
