ASISI PANOMETER LEIPZIG (PANORAMA)
This former gas tank in the Südvorstadt has been transformed into a panoramic house, allowing photo and painting installations to be displayed at 360°. The architect Yadegar Asisi has taken charge of the artistic direction of this "panometer" whose circular configuration makes it possible to cross the limits of the 2 dimensions of visual art. In recent years, the theme of the exhibitions has been "Leipzig 1813", a reconstruction of the Battle of the Nations. The latest exhibitions to date presented a theme from an original angle. A part of the Amazonian forest has been restored through an exploration of the South American Tropics, Dresden was recreated in the 18th century, the sumptuous Great Barrier Reef, a paradise for diving enthusiasts. The latest exhibition presents the world seen by a grain of pollen with a world then presented a hundred times larger than its actual appearance. It all depends on the perspective The show is performed on a 360-degree stage. You should have thought of that, the idea is great!
