BARFUSSGÄSSCHEN
This cross-sectional, narrow lane leaves from the Markt to the Dittrichring. The lane is short, but it is also very well known: it is in Leipzig what Mercière street is in Lyon, rue Saint-Rémi in Bordeaux; in Paris it would be a rue Mouffetard mâtinée street of the Harp. On a short distance, it is so heavily covered with terraces, restaurants that barely leave the place to walk that almost its elegance, all Vienna with some baroque notes. Surrounded mainly by beautiful buildings 1900 in neo-classical or neo-baroque style, it leads to a particularly elegant plot of buildings, some of which, like the famous café Zum arabischen Coffeebaum, date from the th century.
