The Battle of Jena, fought on the Landsgrafenberg plateau on October 14, 1806, was the scene of Napoleon's famous victory over the Prussian army. The museum, located in the village of Cospeda, was renovated by the Institut zur militärgeschichtlichen Forschung Jena 1806 e. V. (Institute for Military History Research Jena 1806 e. V.). Images, maps and eyewitness accounts illustrate these famous battles, as well as the lives of the soldiers, their uniforms and weapons, on both the Prussian and French sides.
