One of Eisenach's finest restaurants, housed in a magnificent vaulted cellar, believed to be one of the last remains of the foundations of the town's former castle. It dates back at least to the 12th century. The restaurant also boasts a lovely terrace overlooking the street in fine weather. This traditional establishment offers delicious, abundant Thuringian cuisine at reasonable prices. The food is quite nourishing and the plates generous, ideal for cold winter days. In summer, a choice of salads.
