A rustic and authentic restaurant to eat German specialties.

On the green banks of the Alster, this mezzanine-level address may not look like much at first glance. It is in fact a good German restaurant, rustic and popular, where they serve Hamburg specialties and classics of German cuisine, such as the Viennese Schnitzel with cucumber salad and fried potatoes or the Labskaus. A good way to discover the local cuisine, without fuss in a setting that seems to have come straight out of the previous century. A simple and authentic address.

Sehr nettes kleines uriges Restaurant. Wir haben Glück gehabt und haben spontan ohne Reservierung noch einen Platz bekommen, es empfiehlt sich aber einen Platz zu reservieren. Sehr leckeres Essen, super netter Service.

Auswahl war groß. Essen sehr lecker. Preise moderat und angemessen. Bedienung sehr freundlich, schnell und lustig. Selten einen so schönen Restaurant-Besuch gehabt.

Auswahl an vegetarischen Gerichten eher gering, Essen sehr fettig. Auswahl der Gerichte eher etwas altmodisch „deutsch“. Grünkohl, Gans, Bauernfrühstück. Das empfinde ich als eher positiv, weil vor lauter Asiaten überall dieses Angebot langsam ausstirbt. Aber es ginge eben auch wenig ölig/fettig.
