A good shop on Deichstraße to eat North German specialties.
This is a good place on Deichstraße, with a historic, rootsy and charming interior: small rooms with a view of the canal. In an atmosphere that breathes old Hamburg, they serve good North German specialties, fish with remoulade and potatoes, very good cucumber salads; the drink menu offers a good selection of beers and wines. The name of the restaurant (literally "At the beginning of the fire") reminds us that the flames of the Great Fire of 1842 started here in Deichstraße.

Aber, es dauerte einige Zeit bis wir das Essen genießen konnten. Die Portion Labskaus hat im Preis-, Leistungsverhältnis leider überhaupt nicht gepasst. Als kleine Zwischenmahlzeit o.k., mehr aber auch nicht.
Essen war lecker. Die Lage des Restaurant mit der Geschichte natürlich top. In der Straße waren weitere Restaurants. Denke wir hatten es gut erwischt. Reservieren ist denke ich gut gewesen. Gerne wieder
