Maharaja, the favorite Indian restaurant in Sankt-Pauli, has a little "sister" in the Grindelviertel, to the delight of the locals: Maharani. In Sanskrit, "Maharani" is the feminine of "Maharaja". This healthy and authentic Indian Ayurvedic cuisine is a must in Hamburg. The explosive Bollywood-like decor is worth a look! Many vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free options. Interesting lunch menu on weekdays. Other addresses in the west of Hamburg: Mahadosa and Mahajivan.
