A well-located and inexpensive youth hostel close to the Elbe River.
A centrally located, functional and well-kept youth hostel with a view of the port. It has a large terrace, which is very pleasant in summer, a pool table, a ping-pong table and a giant chess set. The youth hostel is part of the DJH (Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk) network, for which you have to be a member or become one. For those under 26 years of age, the annual membership fee is €7 and applies to a network of over 430 youth hostels in Germany.

Schöne gepflegte Jugendherberge mit sauberen Zimmern. Defekte werden schnell beseitigt. Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist auf jedem Fall seinen Preis wert. Und der Standort ist einfach einmalig mit dem direkten Blick aus der Lobby auf die Landungsbrücken und den Hafen.

Das Zimmer ist gar nicht schön und sehr klein außerdem ist das Bad auch super klein die Bettwäsche ist sehr dreckig und hat braune Flecken .Das Waschbecken ist außerhalb des Bades warum?

Me and my friend stayed 2 nights in this hostel.during the checking we had problem they billed more then booking was showing on our reservation. We paid that(explanation wasn’t acceptable they just said its booking’s fault.
They gave us quick infos about breakfast time and place but no infos about check out time.
We had another problem when we were doing checkout.l was already out they saw me when l was throwing the used sheets and they said nothing. My friend was still in the room me and he tought time checkout at 11am. Cleaners was coming into the room and l tould them my friend is in the room and he is getting ready,l left the room.
Then another woman went to the room shout to my friend in really bad behaviour(he can’t speak german or english) l return from when l was out of the hostel.l tried to explaine she was not even letting me talk or explaine. We paid for extra 1hour late check out extra 10euros+bed behaivor and shouts from responsible lady(T….)
Also during the check in 18euros more then bookings price. We liked the hostel and the rooms but this experience made us totally soo unhappy.

Es gab vegane Optionen beim Essen, das hat uns gut gefallen.
Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden.
