A modern hotel with excellent value for money.
The Scandic Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the Neustadt, opposite the Laieszhalle concert hall. The rooms and their bathrooms, though large, are soberly decorated. All of this lacks a bit of personality and warmth... and don't expect a very dynamic reception. However, the quality/price ratio remains quite good and the fabulous breakfast (probably one of the best in its category) has the good idea of costing only 12 € and quickly makes you forget the few shortcomings of the establishment.

Was uns sehr geärgert hat, waren die absurden Preise an der Hotelbar (18€ für einen Gin Tonic, ab 10€ für ein Glas Wein).
Das Frühstück war ausgiebig und sehr lecker. Was ich nicht verstanden habe war die Hektik in der die Tische abgeräumt wurden. Selbst wenn man seine Sachen am Tisch liegen gelassen hat und nur ein Glas Wasser holen wollte, kam man zurück und der Teller mit Essen und Getränken (alles noch fast voll) war bereits abgeräumt. Ich denke das kann man cleverer gestalten und damit sehr viel weniger Abfall von frischen Lebensmitteln produzieren.
But what really made my stay stand out was the exceptional service from the staff. Every single person I interacted with, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, was friendly, helpful, and genuinely interested in ensuring that I had a great stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make me feel welcome.
The hotel's location was also perfect, just a short walk from the city center and with easy access to public transportation. And the little touches, like the free afternoon snacks and drinks in the lobby, really made a difference.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Scandic Hamburg Emporio to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience in Hamburg. It's clear that the Scandic chain is committed to excellence, and this hotel is no exception. Five stars, without a doubt!
