A slightly off-center spa hotel in the Bahrenfeld district.
The Gastwerk Hotel is a former gas factory(Gaswerk in German; "Gast" means host, hence the pun...) which has been renovated into a modern and cosy Design Hotel. Located 10 minutes by bus from the Altona train station and 25 minutes from the city center in the Bahrenfeld district, the Gastwerk hotel offers a stay in spacious and comfortable rooms and the possibility to relax in the Spa, all in an oriental atmosphere with sauna and steam bath. A very original formula!

Nur der Start beim 2. Mal war unschön. Die Rezeptionistin war unfreundlich und gab uns nur sehr widerwillig Auskunft wo wir außerhalb des Hotels essen gehen können. Wir fanden dann selbst das „Scotty“, was keine 5 min vom Hotel entfernt ist. Der Abschied war dann durch eine andere Angestellte um so herzlicher.
