THALIA THEATER
The Thalia-Theater is an institution known throughout the German-speaking world for the originality and boldness of its productions.
Founded in 1843, the Thalia Theatre is a cultural institution in the German-speaking world. It was the preserve of a cultivated and intellectual bourgeoisie before taking a more daring course in the 1980s. Today, the theater is directed by Joachim Lux, who has managed to attract great names in contemporary theater, such as Luk Perceval and Jan Bosse. It is the best contemporary scene in Hamburg, with daring and lively creations, the use of young talents in directing and writing, and a constant force of renewal.
