The Theater im Hafen is Hamburg's iconic venue for great musicals.

This modern theater has a somewhat unusual location... in the heart of the industrial port! It can be seen from the banks of the Elbe with its glass architecture. The theater was built in 1994 and since 2001 it has been hosting the Disney musical König der Löwen (The Lion King). It is the most important theater for musicals, and Hamburg is the third largest metropolis after New York and London for musicals. From some hotels, river shuttles will take you directly to the theater.
