Lost in the office and garage district of Hammerbrook, this coffee roaster is a great surprise for the lost tourist. In the roasting room, the machines turn and rumble while, in the room decorated with burlap bags, customers enjoy excellent cappuccinos accompanied by Portuguese pastel de nata or small sandwiches, while reading the newspaper. The name "Maya" is a nod to Mexico, the homeland of the Mayas, where Maya Kaffeerösterei has partnerships with self-managed cooperatives.
