This is a lovely Viennese café in the Hafencity. Its name is a corruption of K.u.K. Kaiser und König (Emperor and King), a title worn by the Austro-Hungarian monarchs. Here the K.uK. has become klein und kaiserlich, small and imperial. The careful decoration of the new building of the Kaiserkai is a clever balance between the very modern and the retro. The interior is beautiful, the sunny terrace is pleasant, the coffee and pastries are wonderful. An excellent place, original and explosive, where to have a gourmet break.
