The largest tennis stadium in Germany, which hosts the annual Hamburg European Open.
The Hamburg European Open is held every year in July in this huge tennis complex in the district of Harvestehude (just north of Rotherbaum). The rest of the year, the poc-poc of rackets and balls can be heard in a tennis emulation that is rare in the city. With a seating capacity of 10,000, the Tennisstadion am Rothenbaum is the largest tennis stadium in Germany and the fifth largest in Europe.
