HAGENBECKS TIERPARK
The Tierpark Hagenbeck is a zoo with aquarium and animal park, 25 hectares large, in the west of Hamburg.
It is expensive, but you can easily spend the whole day there. This Tierpak was one of the first zoos in Europe, founded in the 19th century by Carl Hagenbeck, a great explorer of Africa and the Americas. "Hamburg doesn't have a zoo, Hamburg has Hagenbeck" is the saying for this park without fences or bars where about 2,000 animals live, probably a little less unhappy than in a classic zoo. At the entrance to the park you will find the feeding times of the animals so that you can watch them eat.
