SCHANZEN-HÖFE
Old halls converted into bars, restaurants, breweries, etc.
Built in 1896, these superb red brick halls were used as a covered livestock market. They were saved from the shovel by an association that identified their potential. Recently renovated, they now house a coffee roaster, Elbgold, a brewery, Ratsherrn, which can be visited with a guide, the Altes Mädchen brewery-restaurant and a whole series of bars and restaurants and communication agencies. It is a particularly pleasant place to be in the summer, when the terraces are full of people and the party is in full swing.
