RICKMER RICKMERS
The is a beautiful three-masted sailing ship, and a visit to it will give you a better understanding of the crew's life on board.
This beautiful three-masted ship built in 1896 in Bremerhaven was transformed into a museum in 1983. She used to sail to India and Hong Kong to bring back goods to the port of Bremerhaven. It was captured by the British in the Azores in 1916 and donated to the Portuguese National Navigation School. In 1983, the ship was bought and brought to Hamburg, then fitted out for visits. The interior has been preserved in its original state and you can see its original equipment as well as an exhibition about its history. There is also an escape game inside!
