A museum of zoology with no less than 10 million zoological objects.
This zoological museum, as well as the geological and mineralogical museums, was established by the University of Hamburg. It is perhaps the best of the three; it has about 10 million zoological objects! On display on 2,000 m² are a myriad of naturalized animals, skeletons, reconstructions and the highlight of the exhibition: the mascot of the NDR media group, Antje the walrus. Quite an amazing show, a curiosity to behold - and a huge scientific database.
