MUSEUMSHAFEN ÖVELGÖNNE
A small port-museum on the banks of the Elbe to discover historical ships.
The small harbor of Övelgönne, close to the beach, is like an open-air museum, with its twenty or so historic regional boats moored there, offering a panoply of the types of ships used on the North and Baltic Seas, such as the Stettin icebreaker. It is a pleasure to walk on the pontoon between the ships in this atypical place for the Hanseatic city, which exudes charm and tranquility. Övelgönne is one of the most charming places on the Elbe. In the surrounding area, small houses and cobbled paths give the area a pastoral air.
