PLANTEN UN BLOMEN
A beautiful park of 47 hectares in the center of Hamburg.
This park, with the simple and amusing name of "Plants and Flowers" in the Lower German dialect, spreads out beautiful gardens on more than 47 hectares. In the 19th century, a series of gardens was laid out on the foundations of the old fortifications that surrounded the city center. There is, among others, a herbal garden and a Japanese garden. The garden is also famous for its nightlife, as it is here that the Wasserlichtkonzerte, superb concerts and water shows, take place during the summer months, every day at 10 pm from May to August, and at 9 pm in September.
