STREETS, BRIDGES AND CANALS OF THE ALTSTADT
Reconstructed Hamburg site with alleys, canals, some and century houses and much more.
The alleys of the Altstadt along the Alsterfleet, Bleichenfleet and Nikolaifleet canals have been rebuilt quite well after the 1943 bombings and are very charming. In the streets Cremon, Katharinenstrasse, Reimerstwiete, Steintwietenhof and of course Deichstraße there are a few preserved houses from the 17th and 18th centuries. The bridges over the canals are pleasant to walk on: Michaelisbrücke, Pulverturmsbrücke, Ellerntorsbrücke, Bleichenbrücke..
