The Cape San Diego is a visitable ship in the port of Hamburg.
Another Hamburg superlative: the MS Cap San Diego is the largest seaworthy civilian museum ship in the world! It is the last survivor of six huge cargo ships built in 1960 in Hamburg; transformed into a museum in the 1980s, it can be visited from hull to deck 7 days a week! In addition to being visited in its entirety, it also offers cabins to spend the night, conference rooms... It sails on the estuary once a year, on September 10, to celebrate its anniversary. In 2011, the Cape San Diego celebrated its 50th anniversary.
